The House at Coney Island
The House at Coney Island began as a response to isolation. After becoming disabled, I was craving connection—but not the kind found in a gallery or on a panel. I wanted a space where artists could gather, experiment, and be seen outside of institutional timelines. So I opened my home.
What started as a quiet weekend invitation turned into something alive: an evolving artist residency, sanctuary, and project incubator rooted in care, conversation, and creative exchange. People came with sketchbooks, instruments, unformed ideas, and it worked.
This is a space. A place where emerging artists, old friends, strangers, and collaborators could show up and shape something real together.
Whether you’re a painter, performer, writer, musician: or just someone looking to create outside the pressure: we want you in the room.
